The Omnichannel Platform Lead is a key role responsible for the operation of our omnichannel platform and for the technical execution of Group´s global omnichannel vision, strategy and roadmap.

The role will implement the strategy behind the end-to-end Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) processes within the omnichannel platform ecosystem, spanning E-Commerce, mobile applications, digital retail (ePOS), and customer service, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and consumer-centric experience across all regions (Global Platform Ownership).

All platform teams operate as an integral part of the Global E-Commerce organization, working in close partnership with commercial, marketing, and retail stakeholders to deliver business outcomes. In addition to global platform ownership, the role will also assume overall site supervision responsibility for the Madrid Technology Hub.

Omnichannel Platform Strategy & Architecture

  • Execute and implement the global omnichannel platform vision and roadmap, aligned with Global E‑Commerce strategy and business growth objectives.
  • Implement the approved design and architecture within our Salesforce ecosystem ensuring scalability, flexibility, and long-term sustainability.
  • Ensure platform reliability, security, performance, and extensibility across all regions.
  • Ensure a "consumer first" culture.



Omnichannel Integration & Consumer Experience

  • Ensure seamless integration across all consumer touchpoints:
  • Web and mobile eCommerce
  • Mobile applications
  • Retail systems (ePOS)
  • CRM and customer service platforms
  • Enable consistent end-to-end customer journeys while supporting market-specific localization.
  • Partner closely with Global E‑Commerce, Marketing, and Retail teams to continuously optimize customer experience and conversion.




Supervision, Team Development & Tech Hub Responsibility

  • Provide supervision for the local tech hub in Madrid composed of software engineers, architects, and solution managers working as part of the Global delivery model.
  • Foster agile, DevOps-oriented ways of working and strong business-technology collaboration.
  • Act as site coordinator of the Madrid Technology Hub, including:
  • Site-level ways-of-working, culture, and people development
  • Hiring, scaling, and retaining technology talent supporting Global E‑Commerce and omnichannel subject to approval by global E-Com team. initiatives
  • Acting as a local interface to HR, facilities, finance, and regional stakeholders
  • Ensure strong alignment between global eCommerce strategy, platform delivery, and local execution excellence.



AI-Enabled Engineering & Innovation

  • Champion the adoption of AI-based software development practices acrossGlobalE‑Commerce platforms, including:
    • AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer)
    • Automated testing, code quality, and documentation tools
    • AI-driven monitoring, incident detection, and operational analytics
  • Drive productivity, quality, and speed-to-market improvements through intelligent automation.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends such as composable commerce, MACH architectures, and AI-driven platforms.



Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted technology partner to C-level executives, Global E‑Commerce leadership, regional business leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate commercial and consumer strategy into clear technology outcomes and roadmaps.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.



Global & Local Optimization

  • Balance global standardization with local market flexibility, in line with Global E‑Commerce governance.
  • Support the application of architectural standards, delivery models, and best practices across regions.



Budget, Vendor & Partner Management under the supervision and approval of the Global Head of eComms

  • Support in managing the omnichannel platform budget within the Global E‑Commerce context.
  • Support in managing the strategic vendors, SaaS providers, and system integrators.
  • Ensure delivery excellence, cost control, and long-term platform sustainability.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • High level of English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading omnichannel or digital platform strategies, including E-commerce and retail.
  • Proven track record in building and running global platforms with headless architecture.
  • Experience managing agile, cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer-focused technologies, including ePOS systems, mobile apps, and backend services.
  • Intercultural awareness.
  • Strong business sense, eager to learn, enthusiastic, self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Highly motivated, positive "can-do" attitude, self-directed, assertive, service oriented with a hands-on mentality when needed.
  • Quick, analytical thinker.
