ML Engineer / AI Developer - (Bidding Strategy) - Full remote

The algorithm is the product - your code determines platform revenue.

You will design, develop, and continuously improve the optimisation engine that generates bid schedules across markets.

You will also build the back-testing simulation environment that validates every algorithm change against historical market data before it goes live.

The ML Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

Optimisation engine development

• Formulate and implement the ML algorithm for bidding objective function
• Build bid revision logic
• Design manual override interface

Algorithm validation & improvement

• Build (Digital Twin) simulation environment for back-testing bidding strategies
• Design actual-vs-planned variance analysis: quantify algorithm performance in revenue terms
• Implement continuous performance monitoring with automated alerts
• Evaluate and compare solver options

Market integration & coordination

• Collaborate with backend engineers on bidding engine output format
• Work with data platform engineer to define required market data features
• Review algorithm outputs for physical plausibility
