Mission:

Reporting to Global Finance Services Department in Barcelona, s/he will manage and improve intercompany billing processes in SAP, while also supporting IFRS16 lease accounting and fixed assets activities.

The role requires a finance professional with strong SAP knowledge, able to ensure correct invoicing, accounting treatment, tax coding, supporting documentation, reconciliations and reporting, working closely with Accounting, Tax, Controlling, IT, Legal and local finance teams.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Intercompany billing and SAP process ownership

  • Manage the end-to-end intercompany billing process in SAP for services, interests, royalties and other non-recurring intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure invoices include the appropriate wording, descriptions, supporting references and tax information required by the nature of each transaction and jurisdiction.
  • Ensure the correct accounting treatment at origin and destination, including proper posting logic, reconciliation of intercompany balances and follow-up of exceptions until resolution.



Tax treatment coordination and support

  • Ensure that intercompany transactions are processed with the appropriate tax treatment, including tax codes, withholding tax indicators and invoice tax logic in SAP.
  • Proactively liaise with Tax stakeholders to validate the applicable tax treatment for services, interests, royalties and other intercompany flows, escalating questions or uncertainties in a timely manner.
  • Apply tax guidance received from the Tax department into the day-to-day billing, accounting and SAP process, ensuring consistency across entities and transactions.
  • Perform regular checks to identify potential inconsistencies in tax codes, postings, invoice texts, intercompany accounts and withholding tax positions, and follow up with the relevant stakeholders until resolution.
  • Maintain supporting evidence of the tax guidance, assumptions and process decisions applied to intercompany transactions.



Intercompany agreements and transfer pricing coordination:

  • Act as owner of the formal documentation of intercompany transactions through agreements, appendices, supporting memos and relevant process evidence.
  • Perform a preliminary transfer pricing diagnosis for recurring intercompany transactions, including initial assessment of the applicable methodology and mark-up level.
  • Coordinate with Transfer Pricing stakeholders, Legal, Finance and local teams to ensure agreements, invoice flows and SAP configuration are aligned with the approved transfer pricing policy.



IFRS16 and fixed assets support

  • Support IFRS16 lease accounting and fixed assets processes in SAP, including data maintenance, reconciliations, depreciation follow-up, reporting and audit support.



Budget, reporting and stakeholder coordination

  • Coordinate with Business, Controlling, Accounting and other relevant departments the annual budget process for intercompany charges, ensuring completeness and consistency of expected flows.
  • Provide reliable data, analysis and explanations for intercompany reporting, internal control, reconciliation, audit and management review purposes.



SAP automation and process improvement:

  • Identify, define and follow up SAP developments and system enhancements needed to automate and optimize intercompany invoicing, accounting and tax processes.
  • Work closely with IT and Finance Systems teams to translate business and tax requirements into clear functional specifications, test scripts and implementation priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual work, strengthen controls, improve traceability and ensure scalable day-to-day management of intercompany processes.



¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Finance, Tax, Accounting, Controlling or SAP-related roles, preferably within a multinational group, with exposure to intercompany processes, SAP billing/accounting flows, IFRS16 and/or fixed assets.

Education: Administration and Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar. SAP, tax, IFRS16 or fixed assets training will be valued.

Languages: Fluent English required, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Spanish preferred but not mandatory. Additional languages are considered an asset.

Specific Knowledge required: SAP knowledge in intercompany billing, FI postings, tax codes, invoice flows, IFRS16 and fixed assets. Good understanding of accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting and process automation will be valued.

¿Cuáles son tus beneficios?

  • Flexible working hours: start time between 7:30 and 10:00. From Monday to Thursday, employees work 8 hours and 30 minutes of effective working time (plus a 40-minute break for lunch and coffee). On Fridays, there is a 6-hour intensive working day with flexible start time between 7:30 and 9:30.
  • Hybrid work policy: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. It is not necessary to have passed the probation period; employees only need to comply with company policies. Remote work is not permitted from abroad or from locations more than 3 hours away from the office.
