We are seeking a temporary Legal Specialist with preferred experience in the property/accommodation industry (student housing or tourism/hotel), providing expertise and guidance on legal matters. This role is based in Madrid and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex legal operations.

Descripción

Job description:

  • Contracts with clients and suppliers relating to the activity of the company and operation of the assets (PBSA and hotel accommodation).
  • Consumer and user regulations. Service responsibility.
  • M&A: real estate investment in Spain and in foreign countries, particularly Italy and Portugal.
  • Real estate law: development management agreements, leases, construction contracts, contracts for the provision of services, surface rights, urban planning, regularisation of properties. Advice on obtaining administrative licences and industry authorisations. Sanctioning proceedings by Regional Authorities and Municipalities.
  • Finance: intercompany loans, corporate lending, leverage finance and asset finance transactions.
  • Corporate law: Timely and accurate daily management of corporate legal matters in coordination with the teams abroad. Shareholder agreements.
  • Monitoring of the compliance and anti-bribery policies. Coordination and reporting to the shareholder's legal teams in Luxembourg and U.K.
  • Privacy law, file registration, security documents, consumer complaints, etc.
  • Trademarks and intellectual property. Agency agreements, agreements with artists, image rights...
  • Coordination and management of all the bad debt of the residences.
  • Monitoring of all the claims received from students in each of the residences as well as the claims that the residences may have against certain students, preparation of letters/ emails and communications in connection with such claims.



¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

Profile:

  • Degree and Master's in law or law and ADE. Member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) Special consideration will be given to candidates who have completed postgraduate courses, an LL.M. or a qualification as a specialist.
  • 4-5 years of experience acquired in an international law firm or the Big Four.
  • Experience in the accommodation industry (student housing or tourism/hotel) is an asset.
  • Real estate, financing, M&A, corporate, commercial contracts, consumer and user rights.
  • A high level of English is essential. Italian or Portuguese is a plus.
  • A highly motivated person with a strong capacity for teamwork, good technical knowledge, and the ability to be creative, who will contribute to the personal and professional quality of the team.
  • Computer skills: MS Office.
