An international insurance company is seeking a Technical Pricing Actuary to support the transformation of its Individual Life business through tariff migration, actuarial validation, and system modernization initiatives. Based in Madrid, you will work closely with international stakeholders and play a key role in the implementation of a new policy administration platform serving European markets.

Descripción

Actuarial Testing and Validation

  • Perform actuarial testing and validation activities for Individual Life products.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and robustness of actuarial calculations.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of actuarial outputs and calculation results.
  • Validate tariff implementations and actuarial assumptions.



Tariff Migration

  • Support the migration of Individual Life tariffs into a new policy administration platform.
  • Review existing pricing structures and ensure accurate implementation.
  • Validate calculation logic and migrated product features.



Calculation Engine Quality Assurance

  • Perform quality assurance activities on actuarial calculation engines.
  • Verify business rules, pricing methodologies, and actuarial models.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies during development and testing phases.



Portfolio Migration Projects

  • Contribute to portfolio migration initiatives involving existing business.
  • Participate in data validation, reconciliation, and control activities.
  • Support the successful delivery of migration milestones and project objectives.



Transformation and Modernisation Programmes

  • Support strategic actuarial transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Data and IT teams on platform implementation and modernisation projects.
  • Participate in projects related to system transformation, process improvements, and data architecture enhancements.



Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Pricing Actuaries, Reserving Actuaries, Product Development, Data, Technology, and Business teams.
  • Partner with international stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into practical actuarial and analytical outcomes.



Data and Technical Activities

  • Perform data extraction, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.
  • Develop analytical and automation solutions where appropriate.
  • Support data quality and governance initiatives.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

We are looking for an actuary with experience within the insurance sector and a strong interest in transformation, system implementation, and actuarial modelling projects.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Professional experience within insurance actuarial functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders.



Preferred Experience

  • Individual Life pricing experience.
  • Knowledge of tariffs, actuarial calculations, and product structures.
  • Experience with system migrations, portfolio migrations, or transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to actuarial model implementation or validation activities.
  • Experience working within cross-functional environments involving business and technology teams.



Technical Skills

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Python, R, SQL.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of actuarial models, calculation engines, or data warehouse environments.
