IA Operations Functional Consultant - Retail Company

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data & BI, the AI Operations Consultant will be responsible for identifying, prioritising, and managing AI initiatives across Operations. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, technology partners, and the AI governance structure, this person will ensure that AI use cases are translated into tangible operational improvements and sustained adoption.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify, assess, and prioritise AI opportunities across Operations processes.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of AI use cases, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Lead the intake and evaluation process for AI initiatives submitted by Operations teams.
• Build business cases, including value assessment, expected ROI, costs, risks, and implementation plans.
• Present and defend use cases before the AI Committee to secure prioritisation and investment.
• Fast-track initiatives that can leverage existing AI capabilities and platforms already available within the organisation.
• Coordinate external technology vendors and implementation partners, acting as the business-side product owner.
• Drive user adoption through training, change management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement activities.
• Define and monitor KPIs to measure business impact, including cost reduction, productivity gains, process efficiency, quality improvements, and user adoption.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and optimise future initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Operations Directors and cross-functional stakeholders to embed AI into day-to-day business processes
