The Data + Devops specialist will be part of the unit Knowledge Innovation, responsible for a knowledge system containing a huge number of scientific documents. You will be working in an international and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Write efficient and robust Java and Python code in our microservice architecture that scales on huge amounts of data
- Run your code in Kubernetes in the Cloud
- Closely collaborate with the product team to understand user requirements, work out and implement new features for fast and insightful interaction with data
- Implement security principles and align with our external security consultants to achieve maximum security for confidential data
- Work with our development tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, …)
- Work in an international team and agile environment
Perfil Buscado (H/M/D)
The Data + Devops specialist, must have qualification:
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics/natural sciences or similar experience
- 5+ years of programming experience in Java and Python
- 3+ years of experience working in a DevOps environment using development tools and CI/CD pipelines, also with containers and container orchestration
- Experience working with high volumes of data - ideally with document data, highly parallel programming and having demonstrated algorithmic thinking
- Experience using cloud environments to build secure systems for confidential data
- Experience using graph databases, full-text search engines, document-oriented databases and messaging systems - ideally Neo4j, ElasticSearch, MongoDB and RabbitMQ.
- Fluent communication in English is required
Additional qualification good to have
- Experience with Spring Boot and Django
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Spark
- Knowledge of natural language processing, graph databases, supervised machine learning, and semantic web technologies
