The Technical Manager (SAP Basis) is responsible for the definition, development, maintenance, and support of SAP technical environments (SAP Basis) under S/4HANA RISE Private Cloud, ensuring their version is up to date with various configurations/features/releases. The role also includes liaising with third-party companies, including SAP, to oversee recurrent activities that are delivered by external partners.

    • Leadership: Lead the SAP Basis Team, setting goals and targets and overseeing day-to-day operations.
    • Technical Coordination: Coordinate technical activities between internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment on SAP Basis requirements and deliverables.
    • System Architecture: Collaborate with solution architects to define the technical architecture and design, ensuring compatibility across all SAP systems.
    • Collaboration: Engage with the SAP Team Leaders for the delivery of all technical functionalities within the SAP environments.
    • Program Delivery: Actively participate and lead in project implementations and the application maintenance tasks where the area is involved, including the change requests analysis and valuation when required.
    • Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP Basis-related issues during implementation and post-go-live support.
    • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of SAP Basis configurations for future reference and audits.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical discussions, providing updates and insights to stakeholders.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to SAP Basis activities and prepare and implement the necessary mitigation actions and/or alternative scenarios.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution, with degree preferred in Computer Science or Information Technology systems security, or similar field (advanced degree preferred). Program Management and Industrial/Manufacturing experience is appreciated.
  • At least 15 years of experience in SAP Basis, including both front-end and backend tasks, Test, Maintenance, and Support.
  • Strong knowledge of software and infrastructure design/architecture processes.
  • Good understanding of SAP Technical Release Management.
  • Experience in designing and managing a complex project roadmap/pipeline.
  • Experience and knowledge in complex architecture and integration landscapes.
  • Experience supporting mission critical systems.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Basis technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE) and experience with the "Clean Core" implementation approach is appreciated.
  • Experience in SAP Cloud ALM (or SAP Solution Manager) is recommended
