Multinational company is looking for an Iberia Finance Manager based in Corredor del Henares (Madrid). The ideal candidate will have minimum 10-15 years of total experience, with at least 3-5 years working as Finance Director/ Finance Manager in a small/ medium-sized subsidiary of a multinational group. Experience in a sales company that sells products (not services) is a must. Navision is a plus. Very high English level is a must. Workplace type: Hybrid.

Descripción

Reporting to the Group CFO and to the Iberia Managing Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

Financial Operations Management

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for Spain and Portugal, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the company's cash flow and working capital to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Maintain accounts in compliance with statutory requirements (Spain and Portugal), accounting standards (e.g., Local GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, including analysis of variances between actual results and forecasts to the General Manager.
  • Coordinate the external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with auditors.

Budgeting and Financial Forecasting

  • Lead the development of annual budgets that reflect the company's financial targets, monitoring and adjusting them to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to project future financial performance.

Risk Management

  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures to manage financial risks effectively, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor risk limits as set in the business plan and oversee insurance requirements.

Tax Management

  • Stay updated on tax regulations for Spain and Portugal and ensure compliance with national and international tax laws, including transfer pricing regulations.
  • Identify and minimize tax risks, overseeing tax filings and preparing timely tax reports.

Financial Systems and Internal Controls

  • Implement and oversee robust financial systems and processes to ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and security.
  • Establish internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Cost Management and Savings Identification

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and present them to the General Manager.
  • Prepare business analyses and investment calculations to support decision-making.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team (based in Spain and Portugal), fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to enhance overall organizational performance.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or Master's in Finance is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of progressively responsible financial experience, including at least 3-5 years as a Finance Director or Finance Manager in a small to medium-sized subsidiary of a multinational group.
  • Experience within an international organization.
  • Experience in a sales company that sells products (not services) is a must.
  • Previous experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus.
  • Business acumen and ability to serve as a solid Business Partner for General Manager.
  • Hands-on experience in managing all relevant disciplines in finance, with solid understanding of all financial and controlling functions.
  • Experience in the set-up, development and management of financial processes, policies and systems.​
  • Experience in the development and management of robust financial controls.​
  • Knowledge of reporting systems, tax and statutory reporting requirements.​
  • Wide knowledge of the Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
  • Knowledge of the Portuguese Local GAAP and taxes, will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (previous experience working with Navision is a plus).
  • High analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Very high English and Spanish level is a must.
  • High Portuguese level will be a plus.
