Reporting to the Country Manager, the main roles and responsibilities are:
- Analyse facts to understand underlying patterns and trends and make logical business decisions. Provide both strategic and operational leadership and direction to a team of District Sales Managers. Understand and keep up to date with product lines.
- Responsible for improving the performance of nominated districts. Drive results through careful analysis of the situation and focus efforts by managing by exception. Quickly prioritise key issues that will bring maximum return.
- Monitor key performance indicators and maximise profitability by driving optimum performance within each key area.
- Control inventory shrink and manage loss prevention at a strategic and operational level.
- Carry out recruitment, appraisals and manage underperformance. Plan for turnover through succession planning and development. Take a business-focussed approach to coaching to achieve maximum return on investment.
- Act as point of communication from store level through to Head Office and Managing Director. Adapt style to suit the needs of very different audiences.
- Set up effective communication channels to manage communication across districts. Maximise communication with colleagues and peers and actively share ideas and feedback.
- Understand how customer service at each stage of the sales process is affecting individual store performance. Demonstrate the effects of poor service and continually reinforce the value of excellent customer service.
- Act as an ambassador for change. Positively embrace change initiatives and implement these through to store level. Actively seek opportunities for improvement.
- Manage short-term store performance issues as well as long-term, strategic goals and projects.
- Diligently manage labour hours and planning, whilst maximising sales and optimising costs.
- Develop effective working relationships with Head Office, other Regional Sales Managers, District Sales Managers and their Stores. Create a culture of team spirit And opportunities for interaction across teams.
Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer)
3-5 years regional retail management experience required, with direct responsibility for delivery of sales and profit results through a team of area managers, ideally for a store portfolio in excess of 50 stores across Spain and Portugal.
Direct experience of working in a regional management role operating within a small store, fast fashion, retailing format. Proven track record of delivering sales and profit growth in a fast paced multi-site retail environment as well as team development and succession planning.
Fluent English, Spanish and ideally Portuguese.
Frequent travelling required.
Inspirational and charismatic leader, facilitating and ensuring achievement of objectives through others. Adaptable, able to adjust leadership style to the individual needs of the team. Tenacious with a strong desire to succeed.
