  • Guide/Assist with servers and security management
  • Provides training, oversees user interest groups, communicates system changes, identifies issues, develops documentation and assures that users are familiar with system features that might improve productivity.
  • IT Manager will work together with the IT staff in the setup and maintenance of IT software (Workstations & Servers). Will be a primary contact with providers for IT supplies.
  • It Manager will create reports from our information systems for reporting needs and design end user reports as needed.
  • Will work with offices to ensure data integrity is maintained across our systems.
  • IT manager will be assigned special projects, creating highly specialized start to finish solutions.
  • In some instances, the IT manager may directly support and maintain specific IT systems in their entirety.
  • Oversee the department budget and forecast future budgets for the following years.

Perfil buscado (h/m)

  • Must have a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronic Engineering with IT experience in similar positions and more than 10 years of experience.
  • Lead project teams.

  • Effectively assist school and IT administration with the planning and deployment of hardware, software and IT systems.
  • Thoroughly understand and operate a variety of ever-changing complex computer, hardware, software, operating systems, IT systems, data storage devices, communications equipment, network gear, mobile devices, and other technologies.
  • Work with IT staff and management to assess and resolve problems or situations.
  • Verbalize concepts and communicate effectively in person and over the phone using a pleasant, well-modulated and understandable voice.
  • Collect and analyze data to improve the quality of systems and processes.
  • Use word processing and spreadsheet programs, help desk systems, email systems, student information systems, financial systems, collaboration systems and other IT systems and applications.
  • Initiate and maintain constant and effective communication with management and team members.
  • Apply technical knowledge and creative problem solving in dynamic and changing environments and circumstances.
  • Take direction.
  • Ask for help when needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure with interruptions and challenging deadlines.
  • Be able to communicate in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.
  • Previous work experience in the area.

Servers:

  • Linux, Windows, and Mac
  • Debian Linux Servers
  • MySQL / SQL & Oracle databases, SQL script queries and developing
  • Web servers Apache, NGINX, etc.
  • Programming languages as of Python, Go, C, etc.



Virtualization Environments

  • OpenStack
  • VirtualBox Headless
  • Etc



Workstations:

  • Linux, Windows, and Mac
  • Office suites
  • Open source tool

Qué Ofrecemos

  • Full time position working Monday - Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm
  • (Position might require to work beyond standard workday hours, weekends or on call)
  • Starting date: End August 2016
  • Free three-course lunch
